I am for an art that grows up not knowing it is art at all…takes its form from the lines of life, that twists and extends impossibly and accumulates and spits and drips and is sweet and stupid as life itself”- Claes Oldenburg

“Our imagination flies. We are its shadow on the earth.”- Vladimir Nobokov

“If you want to know how much darkness is around you, you must sharpen your eyes, peering at the faint lights in the distance.”-Italo Calvino

Creative and critical thinking are integrated skills that unfold in our everyday interactions with people and the job environment and become a significant part of our cognitive activity. Each day we feel an increasing need to harness a disciplined approach towards developing our perceptions, ideas and experiences through curiosity, inquiry, observation and sensation. We recognize that no matter what we are doing in life, we live in a highly visual culture and thus we are constantly in the quest for learning and applying compelling real-life experiences through unique and vivid imagery and fine-tuned narratives.

At Cambridge Creation Lab (CCL) we have designed courses that will hone your craft as a writer, reader, thinker and creative researcher and help you reconnect with the undiscovered possibilities of your talents.

As the boundaries between our physical lives and our digital lives become assimilative, and pages of books are replaced by screens and multimodal narratives are formed through texts, images, sounds and other interrelated media-we perceive the growing need to create innovative and exciting texts, narratives or stories. Besides writing we would also have specific courses in literature, Greek, music, dance and graphic designing. Teaching will be delivered through weekly online lectures in a friendly interactive workshop environment as well as prerecorded sessions to prepare better for each course, seminar, assessment, (performance where applicable) and around the clock help from highly qualified teachers, scholars, artists and researchers. A lot of emphasis will be placed on creative multidisciplinary research-based writing. CCL aims to galvanize the natural sense of curiosity in unprecedented ways to establish growing networks between disciplines. Our mission is to inform, influence and inspire dynamic collaboration and push the boundaries of disciplines to encourage experimentation across a whole range of materials and disciplines. The only prerequisite is the willingness to explore new ideas and horizons and the ability to write and communicate in English.
